Invoice/Shipping Clerk

Job Summary

This position provides support to each of two roles; covering hours required in excess of the regular schedules for those roles.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To support the organization by ensuring all clients are properly invoiced in accordance with current company procedures.
  • To ensure that payments are taken in accordance with current company procedures.
  • To ensure that shipments are packed and shipped in accordance with current company procedures.
  • To provide customer service related to shipping, invoicing and payments. 
  • To be flexible and work with the Invoice Clerk and the Shipping Coordinator to ensure that the roles of shipping and invoicing are covered sufficiently during peak performance periods for the organization (i.e. periods leading up to Christmas, Valentines, Easter, Mother's Day and peak spring greenhouse periods). 
  • To provide reporting on specific invoicing and shipment details to the admin team as needed. 
  • Weekend and evening work required as part of a shared schedule.
  • Inventory Updating
  • Bar Code and Label printing for plant materials (as needed)
  • Other related duties (as required).

Knowledge, Ability and Skill Requirements

  • Ability to keep well organized and detailed records required
  • Ability to multi task and work well under pressure required
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 kg on a regular basis required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required

  • The Invoice/Shipping Clerk is directly accountable to the Controller.

Perishable Products Staff

    • Pack, seal, label, boxes and carts or racks for shipping.
    • Use of equipment such as box making and strapping machines.
    • Assist with shipping organization of loads and transport readiness including documentation and shipping information.

  • Time Management and Planning
    • Work independently unsupervised or in a group environment
    • Work in a refrigerated environment for extended periods of time especially on holiday peeks and weekends when the largest shipping cycle occur in the week.
    • Employee must be flexible with hours to work when customer demand requires.
    • Showing up when scheduled and reliable transportation are a must.
    • Weekly scheduled hours can also involve a night shift to accommodate incoming truck schedules.
    • Shifts can involve early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as a matter of regular scheduling Follow Process and Directions.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Correspond both verbally and orally with purchasing, sales and production staff to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages and cultural concerns.
    • Use sound judgement/decision making skills if the lack of senior management support is absent and/or recognizing the importance of reaching out for assistance.
    • Demonstrate and apply Leadership qualities
  • Attention to detail
    • Examine contents of incoming and outgoing shipments and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy and quality standards.
    • Record damages and discrepancies, for reporting, recordkeeping purposes and farm claims.
    • Fill orders accurately according to pick tickets and pre-booked documents, as well as pre-pulled orders. Special care must be paid to UPC codes as well as specific distribution information.
    • Following guidelines and recipes is critical.
    • Learn and use sales computer systems for inventory look up, labels, UPC information
    • Maintain accurate inventory of stock.

Job Description: Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, CCA assists all residents in accordance to their care plans and activities of daily living.

Qualifications:

-CCAs will work within their Scope of Practice

-Personal care of residents, including restorative care and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Tennis Coach - Jr. Program

The Gordon Hughes Tennis Club – Windsor, NS is seeking a Tennis Coach for their Junior Program for 2018.

The Head Coach’s primary responsibility is to implement weekly tennis lessons for children ages 5-16 years of age, organize and assist with rookie and provincial tournaments.  Location in Windsor, NS.  The Head Instructor must possess strong leadership skills in motivating and supporting an assistant coach, volunteers and participants. This is an 8-9 week program that starts on June 25th and will end in late August. Coaches will receive 35 hours per week. Compensation will be determined based on experience.

 Requirements:

  • • Start Date: June 25th, 2018 | End Date: August 30th, 2018
  • • Develop and lead a team tennis curriculum for the duration of the program
  • • Collaborate with local community partners such as schools and community centres
  • • Responsible for managing tennis equipment; mini-nets, ball hoppers, balls, racquets and other items
  • • Volunteer or coaching experience in tennis is required
  • • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills required
