ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor routine rig operations for strict compliance with Noble’s HSE Management System (HSE-MS). E.g. Permit to Work (PTW) System; Safe Rigging and Lifting Requirements; Derrick Inspection Manual; Job Safety Analysis requirements etc.
  • Provide recommendations for addressing all sources of non-compliance.
  • Develop relationships and build trust with the rig management, functional heads and rig crews by initiating frequent safety related conversations.
  • Identify those policies and procedures supporting the HSE-MS that are either unworkable or in need of revision. Communicate all change requests to the region HSE group.
  • Oversee all HSE training (competence) requirements for the rig management, functional heads and rig crews. Oversee the application of Skills VX to capture all training / licensing certifications.
  • Recommend reading material; training films, workshops appropriate for rig management, functional heads and rig crews.
  • Co-ordinate the offshore orientation for all personnel boarding the rig (and in accordance with Noble policies and procedures).
  • Ensure specific HSE equipment on the rig is correctly maintained (as directed by the region HSE department and the SAP Program).
  • Conduct various documentation duties including (but not limited to):
  • Compilation of Monthly HSE statistics
  • Provide oversight and tracking of the rig based corrective action log. Flag overdue actions items as appropriate.
  • Produce periodic trend analysis based on information received from STOP cards, exercising of Stop Work Authority (SWA), Unplanned Events; Management By Walk Arounds etc. Communicate trends in reference to the “three buckets”.
  • Act as the rig focal point and knowledge specialist for all HSE related regulatory compliance issues and certification requirements.

Floorhand

Maintenance Operations

  • Perform general duties around the rig which may include but not limited to the following:
    • Perform housekeeping around the rig as required, such as keeping the rig floor clean and clear of all tools after each trip.
    • Keep BOPs washed down.
    • Keep shale shaker and de-sander clean when in use.
    • Perform necessary maintenance on the shale shaker.
    • Keep drawworks and rotary lubricated.
  • Become familiar with blowout and shut-in procedures.
  • Visually inspect the drill string so as to report wash outs, excessive wear, joint or thread damage.
  • May be required to do rig and equipment maintenance such as chipping, scraping, painting, scrubbing, and cleaning.

Electrician Assistant

  • Report all defects and unsafe conditions to Supervisor as soon as possible.

  • Confirm that hand-over logs have relevant information for the safe an efficient running of the operations.

  • Maintain records of weights and their locations being on and off the vessel and submitted to chief mate for stability calculations.

Maintenance and Repair

  • Ensure all deck / equipment maintenance areas are kept clean and all tools are properly stored or racked in designated areas
  • Responsible for maintaining the exterior of the hull, main deck, substructure and heliport.
  • Inspect the cranes daily and lubricate as required by the maintenance manual and applicable code requirements, American Petroleum Institute (API), ABS and DNV.
  • Ensure cranes are kept clean.
  • Must know how to inspect the crane’s systems and equipment and associated rigging equipment.
  • Be knowledgeable of the company paint specifications and procedures.
  • Complete daily and weekly crane reports in a timely fashion and notify supervisor of any defects.
  • Inspect, maintain and keep a complete and up-to-date inventory of all slings, chains, ropes, shackles, and other hoisting equipment.
  • Maintain records on all maintenance and work done on the cranes.

JOB SUMMARY

Work under the direction of the Driller as necessary to support on-going rig operations.  Operate/Monitor rig equipment and support systems under the direction of the Driller. Implement and uphold safety and environmental compliance requirements.  Perform general drilling rig operations, maintenance, and house-keeping duties and material preservation activities under the supervision of the Driller.  Assist other personnel as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ year experience as Derrickman on an installation fitted with similar equipment.
  • Basic Survival Training (BST)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Drilling Operations

  • Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Driller during drilling, work over and completion operations.
  • Ensure all operations are proceeding in a safe manner in accordance with safety policies and procedures.  Responsible for correcting and/or notifying responsible person of any unsafe acts or conditions which exist.
  • Attend and participate in pre-tour, post tour, special operations and weekly safety meetings.
  • Under supervision of the Driller, control actual drilling operations, depending on formations encountered, drilling efficiency, and problems encountered.
  • Under supervision of the Driller, make trips as necessary to change bits, tools, and drill string length.
  • Report any unusual occurrences encountered such as rate of penetration, mud weight, loss of circulation or other changes in hole condition to Driller.
  • Other duties as required

 

Maintenance and Repair

  • Maintain good housekeeping on the drill floor at all times.
  • Maintain upkeep of tongs, rotary, drawworks and other drill floor accessory equipment.
  • Maintain drill floor inventory control of chains, rope, and other rig supplies.
  • Assist in supervising the preventative maintenance program to drilling equipment and accessories on the rig floor including shale shakers, mud pumps, elevators, slips and other related equipment.
  • Other duties as required

JOB SUMMARY

Operate Drillship/MODU cranes in support of drilling operations. Direct Roustabouts as necessary to support on-going rig operations. Assist in handling freight to or from helicopters and boats. Implement and uphold safety and environmental compliance requirements. Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Rig Manager or designated representative during drilling, work over and completion operations..

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certified as a Crane Operator
  • Experienced in supervision of Roustabout crews
  • Experienced in offshore drilling operations
  • Six months of experience as a Roustabout or comparable experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Drilling Operations

  • Supervise 3 or more workers during the performance of their duties.
  • Supervise the upkeep and maintenance of the paint locker.
  • Supervise housekeeping operations when cranes are not in use.
  • Direct Roustabouts as necessary to support on-going rig operations.
  • Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Rig Manager or designated representative during drilling, work over and completion operations.
  • Ensure all operations are proceeding in a safe manner, and responsible for correcting or notifying responsible person of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist.

  • Assists in handling freight to or from helicopters and boats.
  • Ensure that all bulk material hoses are extended and purged with boat’s air system prior to use.
  • Knowledgeable in all crane and rigging safety instructions and regulations.
  • Be knowledgeable on operational limits of cranes and associated lifting equipment.
  • Maintain adequate fuel supply at all times.
  • Ensures correct hand signals used for crane operations.
  • Records all heavy lifts and lifts contrary to manifest in the crane report.
  • Responsible for rigging and moving of equipment and materials.
  • Other Duties as Required

Maintenance and Repair

  • Responsible for maintaining the exterior of the hull, main deck, substructure and heliport.
  • Inspect the cranes daily and lubricate as required by the maintenance manual and applicable code requirements, American Petroleum Institute (API), ABS and DNV.
  • Ensure cranes are kept clean.
  • Must know how to inspect the crane’s systems and equipment and associated rigging equipment.
  • Be knowledgeable of the company paint specifications and procedures.
  • Complete daily and weekly crane reports in a timely fashion and notify supervisor of any defects.
  • Inspect, maintain and keep a complete and up-to-date inventory of all slings, chains, ropes, shackles, and other hoisting equipment.
  • Maintain records on all maintenance and work done on the cranes.
  • Other duties as required
