H & R Block need both receptionists and tax preparers in the following office locations: Truro, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Liverpool, Shelburne, Barrington, Yarmouth, Digby, Bridgetown, Middleton, Greenwood, Berwick, New Minas and Windsor.   All these locations potentially need staff.

For both of the positions, some of the following attributes and skills are required:  adaptable, teamwork, decision making, time management, problem solving, positive attitude, courteous, respectful, consider of privacy and confidentiality, punctual, experience in customer service, able to follow instructions.  Someone that is analytical, math oriented, computer skills (including specific programs related to taxes, pos, email, CRA website). Previous experience in customer service, clerical skills.  We will train the tax knowledge.

Positions start mid January with hands on training starting in late January to mid February.  Depending on the position, hours could be 20 – 45 per week.  Range of renumeration will be $13.00 –$ 15.00 based on experience.

Course for tax preparation – Fundamental Level 1 begins September 11, 2019…duration is 13 weeks.  It is an online class – registration is completed at www.hrblock.ca.   Cost $ 343.85.  Most of the course material needed is provided online except for the workbooks which will be available at the closest local office.
