The Avon Community Farmers’ Market is a vibrant Seasonal Outdoor and Online Market that markets products from vendors including farms, restaurants, community groups and artisans.

Hours: Part-time. Must be available to work from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm on Sundays and 10:00am to 5:00pm Mondays, plus additional time throughout the week

Location: Windsor, NS, remotely and various farm locations

Rate of Pay: $13/hour (20 hours per week as in Section 13.1(b))

Work Term: 14 weeks

Start Date: ASAP

Have access to a vehicle

Have secure internet access

Must have social media experience

Be proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word/Pages and Excel/ Numbers

Have excellent communication skills

Able to deal with a broad range of stakeholders

Possess superb interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Able to work in a team environment as well as independently

Be a creative self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills

Demonstrate high regard for quality, accuracy, and attention to detail

Have excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential and/or sensitive information

Requirements for Eligibility of CSJ:

(a) is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.

(b) is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and

(c) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

Physical Demands:

May be required to manually lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Standing, bending, and lifting involved.
